Get Your eTA and Make the Most of Life in Canada

eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals visiting Canada by air. Visa-exempt foreign travellers must have an eTA in order to enter Canada easily.

Basic Requirements to Visit Canada as a Tourist

● Valid passport
● Good health condition
● No criminal background
● Ensure the immigration officials that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
● Have sufficient funds in the account
● Medical examination
● Letter of invitation from an individual who lives in Canada

Make sure you apply for your eTA a month in advance of your travel date to Canada. It is better to be fully prepared.

Once you have successfully applied for the eTA, you’ll get approval within a few minutes of applying. However, some application requests may take a bit more time but the maximum you can expect is an email from the IRCC within 72 hours.

Your eTA will be valid for upto 5 years or until the expiry of your passport, whichever comes first.
