A New Path To Permanent Residence For Skilled Workers

The Rural and Northern Immigration pilot is the latest community-driven program. The purpose of this program is to provide the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating an opportunity for PR for skilled foreign workers who wish to live in North Bay, Thunder Bay, Sudbury or West Kootenay.

To qualify for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) program, you’ll need to meet the below-mentioned criteria:

● Must have at least 1 year of work experience in the last 3 years or have completed a public post-secondary education

● Must take a language proficiency test in English or French language

● Must have Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) or Canadian high school diploma

● You must live and work in the community to participate in this program

● Must have enough financial funds to transition successfully into the community

● You need to meet the specific requirements of the community you participate in

Once you have fulfilled the eligibility criteria, you will need a valid job offer from one of the participating communities. When you succeed in your application, you will receive a Community Recommendation Letter which you can further use to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
